New York/New York Hotel and Casino Las Vegas

When you see the hotel you cannot imagine how they transformed the New York Skyline into a hotel right on Las Vegas Blvd and then you realize they drove it up the Brooklyn Bridge and right past the Statue of Liberty. The detail that was put into the design of this resort is fabulously Las Vegas. They did get one thing wrong though; the rooms are much larger than a New York City apartment. Apparently, out west people cannot understand city living. If you want to have a drink in Times Square, ride a roller coaster or have a large deli sandwich they have it at New York/New York

What you might like at the New York/New York Hotel and Casino:

The Village eateries have a ton of great food and allow you to stroll through the sidewalks of New York. If you want to have a loud evening of dancing and hollering walk over to Coyote Ugly where the girls dance on the tables and the place gets packed. If you’re in the mood for some adult entertainment see Zumanity the Cirque du Soleil show which is unlike anything you have ever witnessed. Also, if you're into singing in public at the top of your lungs, hit the Dueling Pianos at the Bar at Times Square.

What you might not like at the New York/New York Hotel and Casino:
Sometimes the amount of children running around can be a nuisance and the crowds walking through the mezzanine level can be menacing. The rooms are not flashy and tend to be average at best.

My suggestion:
Hop on the roller coaster that circles the resort, the Manhattan Express, it will make you scream. Catch a game at the ESPN Zone and then have a drink at Nine Fine Irishmen.
If you want a good meal for an average price head to Il Fornaio where the Italian dishes seem to be getting better and the bread is enough to make you want to add an hour to you visit. The simple marinara sauce is perfect for a light meal and the pizza selections are very tasty.
If you need real Las Vegas entertainment, your best bet is Zumanity. But be prepared for the adult entertainment that is truly Las Vegas.
